Homemade German Chocolate Cake

Aaaaaaah, a decadent German Chocolate Cake Recipe 😋❤️🧁!! This rich and tender is perfect for parties or during the holidays. You can even make it into a birthday cake, it will be a huge hit!. Fun fact, I’m looking for a holiday or birthday just so I can make this cake LOL!


#Cake :

☞ Flour: 3 cups

☞ Baking soda: 1 tsp

☞ Salt: 1 small spoon

☞ Buttermilk: 1 cup

☞ Eggs whites: 4 (whiskered)

☞ Boiling water: 1 cup

☞ German chocolate: 5 ounces

☞ Sugar: 2 cups

☞ Softened butter: 1 cup

☞ Egg yolks: 4

☞ Vanilla: 1 tsp

#Coconut Pecan Frosting

☞ Egg yolks: 3

☞ Coconut: 2 cups (peeled)

☞ Pecans: 1 cup (divided)

☞ Sugar: 1 cup

☞ Butter: 1/2 cup

☞ Evaporated milk: 1 cup (about 12 oz)

☞ Vanilla: 1 tsp


1. Before you begin, you should put your oven to preheat to 350 F.

2. Next, melt the chocolate with boiling water. Mix butter and sugar in large mixing bowl until light.

3. Beat in eggs yolk, one at a time, then beat in chocolate and vanilla .

4. You’ll want to mix in flour, baking soda and salt every other with buttermilk. Make sure to beat after every addition, until batter is sleek . And please fold in egg whites.

5. At this stage, divide batter between pans until cooked .

6. To prepare Coconut Pecan Frosting, all the needs to be done is to mix together sugar, milk, butter , vanilla and egg yolks in saucepan. Finally, cook over heat for 13 minutes, or until thick.
